Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise, an American writer and actress, most famous for her role as Ginger Grant on the television show Gilligan's Island in the 1960s. Her stage work began in the mid 1950s when she appeared in Two's Company, a Bettle-Davis musical. In the 1950s, she appeared as a stage actor in several Broadway plays before breaking through into the spotlight with her hit song 'Lil' Abner' in 1957. In the year 1957, she launched her first album of music entitled It's Time for Tina. Louise began her Hollywood career in 1958, as she played Griselda Walden in God's Little Acre, a drama film. It was a huge success and Louise received her the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the Years category. While in New York, Louise enrolled at Actors Studio and began her relationship and friendship with Lee Strasberg. Her next unforgettable role was in 1964. The actress signed with CBS for the role of Ginger Grant. Louise was able to balance her acting career successfully between Broadway as well as Hollywood portraying somber characters as against her perceived image of being a glamorous doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1 and for her role as Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although during the past couple of years she's also earned an impact as a director who has been successful in various well-known television shows like Supernatural as well as The 100. Her family moved from Essex to Toronto in the year she was born, and there she resided for growing up and in adolescence. Samantha Carter settled in Vancouver and Canada, following her decision to play the lead.
